Last night, after visiting my parents in Bogor, I stopped by a rest area on Jagorawi to grab some food to take home. It’s not that I was hungry then, but somehow, as soon as I get home, my stomach always starts growling. So, I decided to swing by Burger King at the rest area to stock up.
As usual, before ordering, I checked out Burger King’s Instagram account to look for any current promos. That’s when I spotted the September 2023 special—“Paket Ayam Crispy September Ceria” for just IDR 19,999.

When I tried to order, the cashier told me that the promo wasn’t valid at rest area locations. Bummer! But then, the cashier kindly recommended an alternative: the “Paket BIC” priced at just IDR 15,000 (before tax).
What’s in the Paket BIC?
The Paket BIC includes one crispy chicken wing and a portion of rice. It’s perfect as a late-night snack when you’re feeling peckish at home. The chicken was quite sizeable, juicy, and not overly dry, while the rice portion was just right.
When compared to similar fast-food chains, I’d say this package is the best and most affordable in its category.
Tips to save even more
To make the meal even cheaper, I usually order for dine-in instead of takeaway. Takeaway orders often come with additional packaging charges, which can add up over time. Plus, I already have tons of shopping bags at home—why add to the clutter? Better yet, bring your own reusable bag for your purchases. Not only does it save money, but it’s also more eco-friendly.

These promos are often posted on their official Instagram account (@burgerking.id). After making a purchase, you might be asked for your phone number for their system records. A little tip: share your number discreetly to maintain your privacy!
