I’ve always wanted an automatic watch because to me, an automatic watch never goes out of style — the older it gets, the more character it has, and you can even pass it down to your kid (as long as you maintain it regularly). After browsing online, I eventually got interested in the Seiko 5 SNZF15K1. This Seiko is made outside Japan because if it’s made in Japan the final code would be J1, not K1.

The Seiko 5 SNZF15K1 is also called the Seiko Sea Urchin by fans, maybe because the second markers look like sea urchin spikes. First, I tried looking for this watch in physical watch stores to check the price and see how the real watch looks. In person, it actually looks better than the photos online — more elegant and luxurious, even slightly resembling one of Rolex’s collections 😛. But the price in physical stores is about 1 million rupiah more expensive.

Because I was curious about the price, I visited the physical jamtangan.com store at Plaza Blok M. Unfortunately, when I got there, the watch was out of stock and only available online shipped from Surabaya. I asked the staff and they said the price is the same both offline and online, around 1.9 million rupiah.
